The Club restaurant offers guests a buffet breakfast. For lunch and dinner, it blends creative cuisine with the seasonal produce of the Canary Islands. Magnificent views out over the Bandama volcanic crater. The Club Bar over the golf green is a meeting point for club members, guests and players alike, where you can sample delicious aperitifs prepared daily by our chef.

■Horse riding: explore the magnificent local scenery on horseback at the horse riding centre, a mere stone’s throw away from the hotel, right next to the Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas. ■Golf: Gran Canaria has the honour of playing host to Spain’s oldest golf club, originally opened in 1891. The course can be found next to the crater of the former volcano, which bears witness to the volcanic origins of Gran Canaria. It is a relatively short course, with narrow fairways, small greens and steep banks along the entire course. Designed by Mackenzie Ross, this private 18-hole, par 71 golf course is open all year round and includes a practice range, 2 putting greens. The maximum handicap for playing in Bandama is for gentleman 24 and for ladies 36.It has also professionals instructors, 1 pro-shop, club hire, 1 pitching range, bar and restaurant, likewise open all year round.

Green fees reservations at Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas

■From Monday to Friday: Reservations can be made in advance.
■Week-ends and bank holidays: Green fees can be confirmed only 24 hours before, due to the usual organization of tournaments during these days.
