The hotel was opened in 1993 and, after a complete renovation, reopened in 2005 as five star hotel with new services and facilities.

Locally:
Daytime and evening recreation centre which takes its name from the fact that it served as a refuge for wild boars for years- an animal species which is very common on the islet.
It is located in an area of great natural value and offers dance and Cuban music shows, as well as appealing entertainment games.

Morón is the nearest major town to the islets, in which the famous Gallo (Rooster'), a large metal sculpture, and some colonial buildings are to be found. Near the city you can also visit the lagoon called Laguna de la Leche' (Milk Lagoon').
Furthermore, you can walk through the streets and squares of the province's capital, Ciego de Avila.
